Jennifer Van Wie is consulting hypnotist, certified
in medical hypnosis. She requires a licensed
medical practitioner's written referral prior to any
hypnosis regime. I rely on what the licensed practitioner's goals are for
their patients so it is a team work effect. Hypnosis should be seen as a
complementary tool not as an alternative treatment for medical issues.
I
do not attempt to treat or diagnose disease or
mental disorders of any kind. Hypnosis in no
way replaces standard medical procedures, but
works in conjunction with the physician by
helping to free the client of feelings and attitudes
that may be inhibiting their recovery
response.
Through hypnosis, one uses the natural
processes of the mind to create a positive
attitude and create a strong positive expectancy and reduces stress. This
can assist clients in making the
most of the medical help available. Although hypnosis is
not a cure for medical conditions, it may
alleviate or reduce many of the symptoms
surrounding health issues.
